If you ask the average person on the street, they will likely tell you it’s about finding romance, achieving personal happiness, or raising a family.       But if happiness is the primary goal, what happens to the marriage when difficult seasons come and the feelings of happiness temporarily fade? If romance is the goal of marriage, what happens when for one reason or another your partner is not as romantic as he/she once was? If the goal is raising a family, then what happens if you cannot have children? What happens when your children leave the house?
